Job Description
BrightStar Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Private Motorist with a focus on non-medical senior care to join our team in Rialto, CA. In this vital role, you will provide safe and dependable transportation for seniors to appointments, errands, social engagements, and other activities. Beyond driving, you will offer companionship and assistance with light non-medical tasks, ensuring our clients receive holistic support that enhances their quality of life and maintains their independence. This position is ideal for individuals who genuinely enjoy helping others and have excellent driving records.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients to and from appointments (medical, dental), errands (grocery shopping, pharmacy), social outings, and other destinations.
- Assist clients with mobility, including getting in and out of the vehicle and walking short distances.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation during travel and during wait times.
- Offer light assistance with non-medical tasks such as carrying groceries, light meal preparation, or organizing personal items.
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and BrightStar Care staff regarding schedules and client well-being.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Document services provided and client observations accurately.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
- Proof of auto insurance.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow schedules and directions accurately.
- Ability to assist clients with basic mobility as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care, caregiving, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of Rialto and surrounding areas.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience working with individuals with memory impairment.
