Job Description
A discerning private estate located in the prestigious Capitol Square area of Madison is seeking an exceptional, highly discreet, and experienced Private Estate Driver. This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide seamless, secure, and punctual transportation services for the principals and their guests. The role offers potential for live-in accommodation within the estate, making it ideal for an individual seeking a stable, long-term, and integrated position within a private household environment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, punctual, and reliable transportation for principals, family members, and guests to various destinations, including appointments, events, and airports.
- Maintain the estate's luxury vehicle fleet (sedans, SUVs) in pristine condition, ensuring regular cleaning, fueling, and scheduling of all necessary maintenance and repairs with approved vendors.
- Plan efficient routes, considering traffic conditions, weather forecasts, and appointment schedules to ensure timely arrivals.
- Assist passengers with luggage, packages, and other items as needed, demonstrating courtesy and professionalism.
- Ensure the utmost security and privacy of passengers and the estate at all times.
- Perform various ad-hoc errands and duties as requested by the principals, showing flexibility and a 'can-do' attitude.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel, adapting to the principals' dynamic needs.
- Keep accurate and organized logs of mileage, fuel consumption, vehicle service records, and other relevant documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, prioritizing the well-being of passengers.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with an impeccable, clean driving record (no moving violations or accidents).
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a private driver, chauffeur, or similar role for a high-net-worth individual or family.
- Exceptional knowledge of Madison and the surrounding Wisconsin areas; proficiency in using GPS and navigation systems.
- Impeccable driving skills, including defensive driving techniques, and a strong commitment to passenger safety.
- A high level of professionalism, discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (e.g., fluid levels, tire pressure) and manage service schedules.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Physical ability to assist with luggage and other items as required.
Preferred Qualifications
