Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join our dynamic teams across various specialty areas. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to provide exceptional patient care, conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a leading academic medical center, contributing to cutting-edge research, teaching, and clinical innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions within your scope of practice.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including medication management and therapeutic interventions.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to professional development activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records.
Required Skills
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensure in Oklahoma.
- National board certification relevant to your advanced practice specialty.
- Valid DEA registration and prescriptive authority (or eligible to obtain).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited advanced practice program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in a specialty setting.
- Experience in an academic medical center environment.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
- Participation in professional organizations and continuing education.
