Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our General Medical Floor team at our Centennial facility. This is a full-time position offering comprehensive benefits. As an RN on the General Medical Floor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population with various medical conditions. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure positive patient outcomes, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold the highest standards of nursing practice. Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications safely and accurately, monitor patient responses, and document effects.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, identify changes in patient conditions, and intervene appropriately.
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
• Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records and other necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in daily rounds and contribute to care planning discussions.
• Ensure patient safety through adherence to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control.
• Provide compassionate support and advocacy for patients and their families.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.

Required Skills

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA recognized).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• 1+ year of experience as an RN in an acute care or general medical-surgical setting.
• Experience with Epic EHR system.
• Professional nursing certifications (e.g., Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification).
