Job Description

Pinterest is seeking an experienced and visionary Product Manager to drive the evolution of our platform, with a specific focus on the core Pinterest experience and its underlying systems. In this critical role, you will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution for features and tools that directly impact the health and well-being offerings, including medical benefits and 401k programs, for our employees and potentially a broader user base within a future context. You will work closely with engineering, design, data science, and cross-functional teams to build innovative solutions that enhance our internal operations and, potentially, external user engagement. As a Product Manager, you will be instrumental in defining product requirements, prioritizing initiatives, and ensuring a seamless end-to-end user experience. This hybrid position requires you to be on-site at our San Francisco office for collaborative work and strategic sessions. We are looking for someone who is not just a strategic thinker but also a hands-on executor, capable of navigating technical complexities and driving products from concept to completion. Join us in shaping the future of Pinterest, where we empower people to discover and do what they love.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Pinterest Platform, with an emphasis on internal systems related to medical benefits and 401k administration.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and user research to identify opportunities and unmet needs.
  • Translate user needs and business requirements into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize product initiatives and manage the backlog to ensure alignment with company goals and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and data science teams throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration.
  • Monitor product performance, analyze key metrics, and iterate on features to drive continuous improvement.
  • Communicate product updates, progress, and challenges effectively to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Pinterest Platform and its capabilities, particularly concerning benefits and financial wellness integrations.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably on a platform or B2B product.
  • Demonstrated ability to define product strategies, roadmaps, and requirements.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to engage with engineering teams on architectural decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and making data-driven product decisions.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale consumer internet platforms or enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with medical benefits administration, HRIS systems, or 401k/retirement planning platforms.
  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a global organization.

Perks & Benefits

  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans.
  • Generous 401k matching program.
  • Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) and company holidays.
  • Equity compensation (Stock Options/RSUs).
  • Wellness programs and mental health support.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Commuter benefits.
  • On-site amenities (cafeteria, fitness center, etc.) in our San Francisco office.
