Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for your first step into the bustling restaurant industry? Chili’s Grill & Bar at The EpicCentral is seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our team as a Greet & Seat Host. This part-time role is perfect for someone eager to learn about hospitality, customer service, and working in a dynamic team environment. You will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their entire dining experience. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and thank them upon departure.
- Efficiently manage the waitlist and seating arrangements to minimize guest waiting times.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Answer phone calls, take reservations, and assist with guest inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable host stand and waiting area.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding table status and guest needs.
- Assist with light cleaning duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 lbs.
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience (even informal).
- Experience with reservation software (e.g., OpenTable) is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
