Job Description
Are you a master of organization with a passion for transforming cluttered spaces into functional havens? The Junkluggers, a leader in eco-friendly junk removal and decluttering services, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Shed Decluttering Pro to join our local team in Bend, Oregon. This is a fantastic part-time opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, making a tangible difference in their community, and working flexible hours. As a Shed Decluttering Pro, you will be responsible for meticulously organizing, sorting, and responsibly removing unwanted items from residential sheds. You’ll help our clients reclaim their valuable outdoor storage spaces, ensuring items are either recycled, donated, or disposed of with environmental consciousness. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction within our local neighborhoods.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate the contents of residential sheds, collaborating with clients to understand their decluttering goals.
- Efficiently sort, categorize, and organize various items, identifying what needs to be kept, donated, recycled, or disposed of.
- Safely lift, move, and transport items of varying sizes and weights, adhering to safety protocols.
- Coordinate with The Junkluggers team for eco-friendly removal and disposal of unwanted items, prioritizing donation and recycling.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area throughout the decluttering process.
- Provide exceptional customer service, communicating clearly and professionally with clients.
- Accurately track time and materials used for each gig.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to organize and declutter spaces effectively.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
- High level of attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Reliability and punctuality for scheduled gigs.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in decluttering, organizing, or a related home services field.
- Familiarity with local Bend, Oregon, recycling and donation centers.
- Experience in customer service roles.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (advantageous for local travel between gigs).
