Job Description

Join OptumRx as a Pharmacy Call Center Representative, where you’ll be the first point of contact for our members, providing exceptional chat support. This vital role focuses purely on customer service and information dissemination, without any medication dispensing responsibilities. You will assist members with inquiries regarding their pharmacy benefits, prescription status, eligibility, and general program information. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to member inquiries via chat, providing accurate and comprehensive information.
  • Assist members with questions about their pharmacy benefits, prescription coverage, co-pays, and formulary.
  • Guide members through prescription refill processes and provide updates on prescription status.
  • Resolve member issues and complaints effectively and efficiently, escalating complex cases to appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Document all member interactions accurately and thoroughly in the company's CRM system.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy policies, procedures, and benefit plans.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company privacy policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless member experience.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience (call center or chat support preferred)
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to articulate complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, including CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher
  • Experience in a healthcare or pharmacy setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology or pharmacy benefit management concepts.
  • Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
