Job Description
Are you looking for a flexible summer gig? B&Q is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals for our BBQ Assembly & Clean Service team for the upcoming summer season in Wolverhampton. This temporary, on-site role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in delivering excellent service. You will be responsible for assembling new BBQs for customers and providing professional cleaning services for existing units, ensuring they are ready for summer enjoyment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble various models of BBQs (gas, charcoal, electric) according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
- Perform thorough cleaning and maintenance services on customer BBQs.
- Ensure all assembled and cleaned units meet quality and safety standards.
- Provide clear and friendly communication with customers regarding service details and aftercare.
- Manage time effectively to complete scheduled assembly and cleaning tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.
- Handle tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
- Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to use basic hand and power tools effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and diagrams accurately.
- Physical fitness to lift and move BBQ units and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in assembly, maintenance, or general home services.
- Familiarity with various BBQ types and their components.
- Valid UK driving license and access to reliable transportation (beneficial for potential off-site work).
- Prior customer service experience.
