Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Live-in Carers to provide essential support to our clients in Camden, Greater London. This rewarding role involves living with a client in their home, offering continuous care and companionship, and enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication as prescribed and record accurately
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and exercises
- Prepare healthy meals and manage household tasks, including light cleaning and laundry
- Offer companionship, engage in meaningful activities, and provide emotional support
- Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
- Maintain detailed records of care provided and report any changes in client condition
- Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for the client
- Adhere to care plans, policies, and procedures set by Mears Group plc
Required Skills
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a care-giving role (formal or informal)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to live in the client's home for agreed periods
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
- Full UK Driving License
- Previous experience as a Live-in Carer
- First Aid qualification
