Job Description

This entry-level position is perfect for individuals taking their ‘first gig’ who have a passion for furniture, home furnishings, and helping customers. As an IKEA Desk Aide, you will be an integral part of our furniture department, providing essential administrative support, assisting customers with inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and pleasant shopping experience. You’ll gain valuable experience in retail operations, customer service, and inventory management within a globally recognized brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with basic inquiries, product location, and general store information, with a focus on furniture.
- Maintain the organization and tidiness of the furniture department's information desks and designated areas.
- Support the furniture sales team by preparing necessary documents, price tags, and promotional materials.
- Help manage incoming calls and direct customers to appropriate departments or specialists.
- Monitor and replenish stationery and office supplies for the furniture department.
- Assist with basic data entry and administrative tasks as needed to support department operations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a consistent and positive customer experience.
- Learn and adhere to IKEA's customer service standards and operational procedures.
