Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm and engaging companionship to seniors, fostering a sense of connection and belonging.
- Engage residents in stimulating activities such as conversations, reading, games, crafts, and outings.
- Offer light assistance with daily tasks, including meal preparation, tidying living spaces, and running errands.
- Accompany residents to appointments, social events, or recreational activities as needed.
- Monitor and report any changes in a resident's health, behavior, or well-being to appropriate staff.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Foster a positive and respectful relationship with residents, their families, and staff members.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a companion or caregiver role, preferably with seniors.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Ability to engage seniors in meaningful social and recreational activities.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Demonstrated compassion and respect for seniors.
- Basic understanding of senior care needs and challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience working in a senior living community or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of local community resources for seniors.
