Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Remote Inventory Tracker – E-commerce Support to join our dynamic team. This 100% remote role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our online retail channels by meticulously monitoring and updating inventory levels. You will be responsible for tracking product stock across various warehouses and online platforms, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with supply chain and customer service teams to maintain accurate inventory data. This position requires strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and excellent communication abilities to support our e-commerce success from anywhere in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and update inventory levels across multiple e-commerce platforms and warehouse management systems.
- Track incoming and outgoing stock, identifying and reconciling any discrepancies.
- Generate regular inventory reports and analyze data to forecast demand and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with purchasing, warehousing, and logistics teams to ensure accurate stock movement and availability.
- Provide e-commerce support by answering inventory-related queries from customer service and sales teams.
- Assist in setting up new product listings with correct stock information.
- Identify and implement process improvements for inventory tracking and data management.
- Escalate critical stock issues to management promptly.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in inventory management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an aptitude for data interpretation.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or e-commerce environment.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes.
- Experience with specific inventory management systems like NetSuite, SAP, or similar.
- Knowledge of common e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
- A relevant certification in inventory management or supply chain.
