Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Reach Truck Specialist to join our night shift team in Henderson. This critical role involves operating reach trucks and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and retrieve products within our fast-paced fulfillment center. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory placement and retrieval, contributing to the smooth flow of operations and timely order fulfillment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate Reach Trucks and other powered industrial trucks (PIT) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve merchandise.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance on Reach Trucks to ensure operational readiness.
- Load and unload materials from trailers and put away items in designated storage locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanners to track inventory and complete tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure working environment.
- Assist with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating Reach Trucks and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to work effectively during night shift hours (e.g., 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 49 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Commitment to safety and adherence to operational guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a large-scale warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Certification in operating various types of powered industrial trucks (PIT).
- Experience with Amazon's internal systems (e.g., Fulfiller, FC LogOps).
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
