Job Description

We are seeking experienced and highly motivated CDL-A Linehaul Drivers to join our team in Peoria, Illinois. This is a critical role responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of freight between service centers. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination on designated routes, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Transport freight between FedEx Freight service centers and/or to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records, including logs, trip reports, and fuel receipts.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, and other team members.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform duties in a professional and customer-focused manner.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
  • Minimum of 2 years (24 months) verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull freight as required (up to 75 lbs)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement
  • Tanker endorsement
  • Doubles/Triples endorsement
  • Experience with LTL freight operations
