Job Description
We are seeking experienced and highly motivated CDL-A Linehaul Drivers to join our team in Peoria, Illinois. This is a critical role responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of freight between service centers. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination on designated routes, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Transport freight between FedEx Freight service centers and/or to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records, including logs, trip reports, and fuel receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, and other team members.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform duties in a professional and customer-focused manner.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull freight as required (up to 75 lbs)
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Doubles/Triples endorsement
- Experience with LTL freight operations
