Job Description
Are you eager to learn a skilled trade and build a lasting career? Holmes Electric is offering an incredible opportunity for an Electrician’s Helper. No prior experience is required – we are looking for motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn the electrical trade. This is a hands-on role where you will work alongside experienced electricians, gaining valuable knowledge and practical skills that will set you on a path to becoming a licensed electrician. Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with various tasks on commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
- Learn to identify, use, and maintain electrical tools and equipment safely.
- Handle and transport materials to and from work areas.
- Prepare work sites by cleaning and organizing tools and materials.
- Follow blueprints and instructions from lead electricians.
- Assist with the installation of wiring, conduits, and electrical fixtures.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and comply with safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the electrical team.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and safely.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt.
- Basic physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Commitment to safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic understanding of hand tools.
- Prior experience in a manual labor role (e.g., construction, landscaping) is a plus, but not required.
- A valid driver's license.
