Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional P&D (Pickup and Delivery) Driver with an LTL (Less Than Truckload) endorsement to join our stable fleet in Moreno Valley, CA. As a FedEx Ground driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of freight, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries to a diverse customer base. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and a customer-focused approach. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring secure handling and proper documentation.
- Obtain signatures and provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and submit all required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding schedules, delays, and issues.
- Represent FedEx Ground professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with LTL endorsement.
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull freight weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with various types of freight and delivery routes.
- Familiarity with Moreno Valley and surrounding areas.
