Job Description
Harmonix Music Systems is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented WFH Game Coordinator with a strong Project Management focus to join our dynamic team. This 100% remote role is crucial for ensuring the smooth execution of game development projects, coordinating across various disciplines, and maintaining clear communication channels. You will support project leads, track progress, manage schedules, and assist in mitigating potential roadblocks to keep our games on track from concept to launch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about gaming and eager to apply project management principles in a creative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist project leads in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and budget.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Track project progress, identify potential risks, and help develop mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between art, design, engineering, audio, and QA teams.
- Schedule and organize meetings, ensure agendas are followed, and action items are captured and tracked.
- Support the onboarding of new team members and provide necessary resources.
- Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in project coordination or administrative support roles, preferably in the gaming or tech industry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello) and G Suite/Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- A strong passion for video games and familiarity with game development pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or similar certification.
- Experience working with remote or distributed teams.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in a game development studio.
