Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Logistics Planner to join our dynamic supply chain team in Round Rock, TX. In this role, you will play a crucial part in optimizing the flow of goods and information within our complex global supply chain. You will support senior planners in developing and implementing logistics strategies, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products to our customers worldwide. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of logistics plans and strategies.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers and warehouses to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Analyze shipping data and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Track and report on key logistics performance indicators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, manufacturing, and sales.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation and customs declarations.
- Resolve logistics-related issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support the evaluation of freight carriers and logistics service providers.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship or entry-level experience in logistics or supply chain.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP).
- Understanding of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
