Job Description
Are you a responsible 13-year-old teen who loves dogs and enjoys being outdoors? Fetch! Pet Care of Schaumburg is looking for enthusiastic and reliable young individuals to join our team as a Dog Walker with a focus on safe local suburbs. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain your first work experience, earn your own money, and spend time with some wonderful canine companions right in your neighborhood. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and responsibly walk dogs in designated local Schaumburg areas, adhering to established routes and schedules.
- Ensure pets are hydrated, comfortable, and receive appropriate exercise during walks.
- Promptly and responsibly clean up after pets, disposing of waste properly.
- Report any unusual pet behavior, health concerns, or safety issues to a supervisor or parent/guardian.
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors and parents/guardians regarding walk status and any observations.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols for both yourself and the pets in your care.
Required Skills
- Must be 13 years of age.
- A genuine and demonstrated love for dogs and other animals.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and consistently.
- Good communication skills (for supervisors/parents).
- Resident of the Schaumburg area with familiarity of local neighborhoods.
- Parental or guardian consent and support for employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience caring for family pets (dogs, cats, etc.).
- Familiarity with local Schaumburg parks, trails, and safe walking routes.
