Job Description
As a News Category Analyst for Digital Media Support, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our digital news categories. This involves monitoring content, ensuring correct categorization, and supporting editorial teams with data-driven insights. You will be instrumental in optimizing user experience and content discoverability across our various digital platforms. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a passion for news, and a strong understanding of digital content management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and review daily news content for appropriate categorization and tagging.
- Identify and correct miscategorized articles across all digital platforms.
- Collaborate with editorial teams to ensure consistent categorization standards.
- Provide support for digital content management systems, including data entry and system updates.
- Analyze content performance data to inform categorization strategies and identify trends.
- Assist in the development and refinement of news category taxonomies.
- Report on content categorization accuracy and suggest improvements.
- Stay informed about current events and news trends to anticipate categorization needs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in content categorization or data analysis.
