Job Description

Join IBM as an AI Ethics & Safety Evaluator and contribute to the responsible development of artificial intelligence. This entry-level, remote position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of AI by identifying and mitigating ethical risks, biases, and safety concerns in AI models and applications. You will work within a supportive team, learning best practices in AI ethics, and applying critical thinking to complex, real-world problems. This role is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI systems and datasets for potential ethical risks, biases, and safety vulnerabilities.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback on AI model outputs and behaviors to development teams.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of ethical guidelines and safety protocols for AI development.
  • Participate in discussions and workshops focused on emerging AI ethics challenges and solutions.
  • Document findings and recommendations meticulously to support continuous improvement in AI safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including researchers, engineers, and policy experts.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Basic understanding of AI concepts and machine learning principles (e.g., how AI models learn and make decisions).
