Job Description
Are you ready for an exciting cultural adventure in the heart of England? Pocket Nanny is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join host families in Norwich as Au Pairs. This unique opportunity allows you to immerse yourself in British culture, improve your English language skills, and gain invaluable childcare experience, all while living as a valued member of a local family. You will provide loving care for children, assist with light household tasks, and become an integral part of daily family life, fostering a genuine cultural exchange.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and engaging childcare for children, including playing, creative activities, and assisting with homework.
- Prepare simple meals for children and assist with mealtime routines.
- Assist with children's laundry and tidying children's rooms.
- Supervise children's activities and ensure their safety at all times.
- Engage in cultural exchange, sharing your own culture and learning about British customs.
- Support the host family with light household tasks related to the children, such as tidying common areas and doing dishes.
Required Skills
- Genuine love for children and enthusiasm for childcare.
- Basic conversational English language skills.
- Responsible, mature, and trustworthy character.
- Adaptability and willingness to integrate into a new family environment.
- Ability to commit to the cultural exchange program duration.
- Non-smoker.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare (babysitting, volunteering, camp counselor, etc.).
- Valid driving license (international driving permit may be accepted).
- Basic First Aid certification.
- Ability to swim.
