Job Description
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others? Home Instead in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a caring and reliable Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will provide essential support and companionship to our senior clients in their local neighborhoods, helping them with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and engage in stimulating activities with clients.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Administer medication reminders.
- Assist with errands and transportation to appointments.
- Document client care and report any changes in condition to supervisory staff.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring client safety and privacy.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proof of auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with client transfers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field (personal experience with family care also valued).
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of basic personal care techniques.
