Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chiropractic Assistant to join our thriving Wellness Center in Morningside, Edinburgh. This full-time position offers stable hours and an opportunity to work within a professional and friendly healthcare environment. The Chiropractic Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic, providing exceptional patient support, and assisting our chiropractors with various administrative and patient care tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome patients upon arrival, managing check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage the clinic's appointment book, and handle rescheduling.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for chiropractic adjustments, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment.
- Assist chiropractors during examinations and treatments as needed, following strict protocols.
- Handle phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general administrative support.
- Process payments, manage billing, and assist patients with insurance queries.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and provide general information about our services.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and treatment rooms.
- Manage clinic inventory, including ordering supplies and tracking stock levels.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- A empathetic, patient-focused approach and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Reliability and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare, administrative, or customer service role.
- Familiarity with medical scheduling software or electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Basic knowledge of chiropractic care or anatomy.
- First Aid and/or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
