Job Description
This entry-level role is perfect for an enthusiastic individual looking to start a career in the dynamic automotive industry. As a Dealership Lot Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the impeccable appearance and efficient flow of our valuable vehicle inventory. Your daily tasks will ensure our cars are presented in the best possible light for customers and are readily accessible for both sales and service departments. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a valid G class driver’s license. Key Responsibilities
- Moving and parking vehicles safely and efficiently within the dealership lot, showroom, and service areas.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle inventory, ensuring all cars are presentable.
- Washing, detailing, and preparing new and pre-owned vehicles for display, delivery, or test drives.
- Assisting service and sales departments with vehicle retrieval and placement as needed.
- Performing minor maintenance tasks such as checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and ensuring vehicles are fueled.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and dealership procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assisting with general grounds keeping and light maintenance around the dealership property.
- Communicating effectively with team members and management.
Required Skills
- Valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate various vehicle types, including those with automatic and manual transmissions.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Reliable, punctual, and possesses a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role or a customer service-oriented environment is considered an asset.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle care and maintenance practices.
