Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dialysis Registered Nurse to join our clinic team in Wesley Chapel, Florida. This is a full-time, clinic-based position with no overnight shifts, offering a consistent schedule that promotes work-life balance. As a Dialysis RN, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing hemodialysis, monitoring their progress, educating them on their condition, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for hemodialysis treatments, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient response.
- Educate patients and their families on dialysis treatments, kidney disease, nutrition, and self-care.
- Assess vital signs, access dialysis machines, and manage patient comfort during treatments.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and complications during dialysis and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including documentation of care, observations, and medication administration.
- Collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and revise patient care plans.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings.
- Operate and troubleshoot dialysis equipment safely and effectively.
Required Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN)
- Previous experience in dialysis or nephrology nursing
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with various dialysis machines and treatment modalities
