Job Description
We are seeking reliable and professional Door Supervisors to join our team for weekend work at a variety of vibrant venues across Guildford. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of patrons, upholding licensing objectives, and representing our brand with professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Manage access control and entry points, verifying age and identification where necessary.
- Conduct proactive patrols and observations to deter and detect antisocial behaviour, potential threats, or security breaches.
- De-escalate situations involving conflict or aggression calmly and effectively, ensuring the safety of all individuals.
- Enforce venue policies and licensing conditions, including capacity limits and responsible alcohol service.
- Liaise effectively with venue management, emergency services, and colleagues.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting patrons with enquiries and directions.
- Complete accurate incident reports and maintain detailed logs as required.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies, administering first aid if qualified and necessary.
Required Skills
- SIA Door Supervisor Licence (valid and current)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in fast-paced environments
- Proven experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
- Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to weekend availability
- A professional demeanour and smart appearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Door Supervisor in licensed premises
- First Aid at Work qualification
- Knowledge of local licensing laws and regulations
- Clean driving licence and access to personal transport
