Job Description
As a Part-time Weekend Ground Sorter at FedEx Ground, you will play a crucial role in our package delivery system. You’ll be responsible for efficiently loading, unloading, sorting, and scanning packages in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This physically demanding role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety, ensuring all shipments are handled with care and processed accurately. This position offers consistent weekend shifts, ideal for those seeking part-time work to complement their week.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort and scan packages into designated areas.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring packages are handled safely and efficiently.
- Identify and report damaged packages or discrepancies.
- Operate package handling equipment safely after training.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation flow during weekend shifts.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 75 lbs (with assistance for heavier items).
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic literacy and communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and ability to commit to weekend shifts.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role.
