Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Forklift Operators to join our dynamic team in Brooklyn, NY. This is a high-paying opportunity for dedicated individuals who are committed to safety, efficiency, and operational excellence. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials within our warehouse and distribution center, playing a critical role in our supply chain operations. Key Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, cherry picker) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and racks with accuracy.
- Move goods to and from storage areas, ensuring proper placement and stacking.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance (e.g., battery checks) to ensure operational readiness.
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, company policies, and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals and meet deadlines.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable forklift operating experience.
- Current and valid forklift certification.
- Proficiency in operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
- Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with reach trucks and cherry pickers.
- Familiarity with various Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Previous experience in a fast-paced logistics or distribution environment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
