Job Description
Are you a passionate aspiring web developer with an interest in e-commerce and a desire to learn Shopify? Vendasta is seeking a Junior Web Developer with a Shopify focus to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for freshers to kickstart their career in web development, working on real-world projects that impact thousands of local businesses. You will work closely with experienced developers and designers to build, maintain, and optimize e-commerce solutions, primarily utilizing the Shopify platform. We value a hunger for learning and a proactive attitude over extensive experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom Shopify themes and apps using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with senior developers and designers to implement new features and improve existing functionalities.
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging website issues, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify updates, web development trends, and best practices.
- Contribute to the documentation of technical specifications and project requirements.
Required Skills
- Foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
