Job Description

Home Instead in Pasco, Washington, is seeking a Live-in Caregiver to provide comprehensive, round-the-clock support to a valued client. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with basic health monitoring.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, tidying living areas, and grocery shopping.
- Offer companionship, engage in stimulating activities, and accompany clients to appointments or social outings.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment.
- Communicate effectively with family members and Home Instead care managers regarding client well-being and needs.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and patience.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow care plans diligently and adapt to changing needs.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency response procedures.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for errands and appointments).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent.
- Previous experience providing live-in care or significant caregiving experience.
- Experience working with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or mobility challenges.
- Culinary skills and an understanding of special dietary needs.
- Proficiency in Spanish or other languages common in the community.
