Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Local CDL-A Driver to join our growing team in Round Rock, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for professional drivers who value work-life balance, offering home daily routes and a guaranteed weekly pay of $1,500. As a Local CDL-A Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods within a designated local area, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of customer service. We are looking for dependable individuals with a strong commitment to safety and a clean driving record.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) safely and in compliance with all DOT regulations.
- Transport freight locally, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up schedules.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including logs, manifests, and trip reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull freight as required
- Proficient communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- Experience with various types of freight and trailers (e.g., dry van, reefer)
- Hazmat endorsement
- TWIC card
- Forklift certification
