Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods from vehicles, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined organizational standards.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) after receiving appropriate training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.
- Perform inventory counts and basic data entry to support warehouse management systems.
- Verify inbound and outbound shipments against invoices or other records.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, contributing to a secure workplace.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and deadlines.
Required Skills
- Physical ability to lift and move packages up to 25kg repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (even if informal).
- Familiarity with basic computer systems or inventory software.
- Valid UK driving license.
- First aid certification (desirable but not essential).
