Job Description

Elite Flooring Solutions is seeking a motivated and reliable LVT Floor Helper to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the skilled trades, particularly in flooring installation. As an LVT Floor Helper, you will play a crucial role in preparing job sites and assisting our experienced installers with the laying of Luxury Vinyl Tile. Your focus will be on ensuring a smooth and efficient installation process, contributing to the overall success of each project. No prior experience is necessary; we are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead installers with site preparation, including moving furniture, removing existing flooring, and cleaning subfloors.
  • Measure, cut, and prepare LVT planks/tiles under the guidance of experienced installers.
  • Help with the precise laying and adhesion of LVT materials.
  • Transport materials and tools to and from the job site.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the installation process.
  • Support in basic floor leveling and subfloor repair as directed.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Perform other general labor duties as needed to support the project.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Basic understanding of measurements and angles, or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation to various job sites within the Tri-Cities area.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
  • Excellent punctuality and attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in construction or a related trade.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License.
  • Familiarity with various hand and power tools.
