Job Description
Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of others? Boulder Community Health is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Aide to join our compassionate team. In this meaningful and rewarding role, you will provide essential support to individuals receiving mental health services, helping to create a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment. This is an entry-level opportunity for individuals with a strong desire to contribute to the well-being of our community, offering comprehensive training for the right candidate. You will work closely with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient support, observation, and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Engage patients in therapeutic activities and social interactions, promoting a positive and healing environment.
- Document patient observations, behaviors, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to support care plans.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns promptly to the nursing staff.
- Participate in de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention as needed, following established protocols.

Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a healthcare, social services, or caregiving role (volunteer or paid).
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Knowledge of mental health conditions and recovery principles.
