Job Description
Join the dedicated post-event cleanup crew for an exciting temporary role as a Music Festival Campsite Cleaner. This physically demanding but rewarding position involves working outdoors in a fast-paced environment immediately following a major music festival in Harrogate. You will be responsible for restoring the campsite and surrounding areas to pristine condition, ensuring health and safety standards are met and the site is ready for its next use. This role is crucial for the successful wrap-up of large-scale events and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of all types of waste, including general rubbish, recycling, and organic materials, from designated campsite areas.
- Sort waste according to recycling guidelines where applicable.
- Empty and clean refuse bins, ensuring they are ready for reuse.
- Sweep and clear pathways, communal areas, and camping pitches.
- Report any large or hazardous waste items to site supervisors for specialized removal.
- Work efficiently and safely, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Operate basic cleaning equipment as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly and on schedule.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting, bending, and walking.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
