Job Description

A Nanny For Me is seeking a compassionate, responsible, and experienced Full-Time Nanny to provide exceptional care for a wonderful family in the historic Riverside neighborhood of Jacksonville, Florida. This role involves comprehensive childcare duties, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, and supporting the family’s daily routine. We are looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and possesses a genuine love for children, with a strong commitment to their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and nurturing care for children, including infants and toddlers.
  • Plan and engage in age-appropriate educational activities, crafts, and outdoor play.
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks for children, accommodating dietary needs or restrictions.
  • Assist with homework and school projects as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized children's play area and bedrooms.
  • Manage children's laundry and ensure clothes are put away.
  • Adhere to established routines for feeding, naps, and bedtimes.
  • Transport children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities safely.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
  • Administer medication as instructed and keep accurate records.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the children at all times.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional nanny experience.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging and educational activities.
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Non-smoker.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Experience with multiple children of varying ages.
  • Knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate learning techniques.
  • Proficiency in a second language.
  • Ability to swim.
