Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Online Inventory Analyst to join our remote e-commerce support team. This role is crucial for maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring product availability, and supporting seamless fulfillment operations across our vast online platform. You will be responsible for monitoring inventory data, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with various teams to resolve issues efficiently. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze online inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, reconciling data across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with supply chain, fulfillment centers, and vendor teams to optimize inventory flow.
- Develop and implement strategies for inventory forecasting and demand planning.
- Generate regular reports on inventory performance, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist in developing and refining inventory management processes and tools.
- Provide support for e-commerce catalog updates and product launches related to inventory.
- Ensure compliance with company inventory policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce operations and supply chain principles.
- Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in inventory analysis, e-commerce operations, or data analytics.
- Experience with SQL or other database query languages.
- Familiarity with Amazon's internal inventory systems (e.g., Seller Central, Vendor Central).
