Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Part-time Graphic Assistant to join our dynamic in-house design team. This unique role is specifically designed for individuals looking to build a robust portfolio while gaining practical experience in a corporate environment. Working primarily on weekends, you will support our senior designers on various projects, contributing to real-world campaigns and initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring graphic designers, art students, or recent graduates who are eager to apply their skills, learn new techniques, and develop a strong professional portfolio under mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior graphic designers in preparing design assets, including image selection, basic photo editing, and formatting.
  • Support the creation of layouts for digital and print materials, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Organize and maintain digital asset libraries, ensuring files are properly tagged and easily accessible.
  • Perform research on design trends, competitor analysis, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new creative concepts and campaigns.
  • Prepare design mock-ups and presentations for internal review.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to understand project requirements and deliver on objectives.
  • Undertake administrative tasks related to design projects as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Basic understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A foundational portfolio showcasing creative potential (student projects are welcome).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/certificate in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and social media platforms.
  • Experience with motion graphics or video editing software (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a collaborative team environment.
