Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Pasta Extrusion Helper to join our dynamic food manufacturing team in Aurora, IL. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to learn the intricacies of large-scale pasta production and contribute to a world-class manufacturing environment. You will work closely with experienced operators, assisting in various stages of the pasta extrusion process, from raw material handling to product packaging. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior operators in setting up and operating pasta extrusion machinery.
- Monitor equipment during production to ensure smooth operation and identify any potential issues.
- Load raw materials, such as semolina flour and water, into mixing and extrusion equipment.
- Perform routine quality checks on pasta products, including visual inspection and measurement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with the packaging and labeling of finished pasta products.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality deviations to supervisors promptly.
- Learn and adapt to new production techniques and machinery as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Forklift certification or experience operating similar industrial equipment.
