Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional in-home care for a private household in the Uptown area of Minneapolis. This role offers the flexibility of part-time hours with convenient weekly payouts. As a PSW, you will be an integral part of our client’s daily life, assisting with personal care, household tasks, and providing much-needed companionship. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide medication reminders as directed by care plan.
  • Support clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, tidying common areas, and meal preparation.
  • Engage clients in stimulating activities and provide companionship.
  • Monitor and report changes in client's health status or behavior to the supervising nurse.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for the client.
  • Document care provided accurately and timely.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow care plans and adhere to health and safety protocols.
  • Basic understanding of nutrition and meal preparation.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a certified Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a home care or direct care setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
