Job Description
Are you a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Technician looking to advance your career? Key Responsibilities
- Process and fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently, adhering to all legal and company policies.
- Assist pharmacists in compounding medications and managing inventory.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and resolving issues.
- Oversee the training and mentorship of new or junior pharmacy technicians.
- Manage and organize pharmacy stock, ensuring proper storage and timely replenishment.
- Perform advanced administrative tasks, including insurance claim processing and prior authorizations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to operational efficiencies.
Required Skills
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- Florida Board of Pharmacy Technician registration.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced pharmacy operations or leadership roles.
- Knowledge of specialty medications or advanced compounding techniques.
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
