Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Global Policy Associate with a strong focus on legal and administrative support to join our dynamic Trust & Safety team. In this hybrid role based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, you will play a crucial part in supporting the development, interpretation, and enforcement of Pinterest’s global policies. You will work closely with legal counsel, policy managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure our platform remains a positive and secure space for all Pinners, while navigating complex legal and operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the research, drafting, and updating of Pinterest's global community guidelines and platform policies.
- Provide administrative support to the policy development lifecycle, including scheduling meetings, managing documentation, and tracking project timelines.
- Conduct legal and policy research on emerging online safety issues, regulatory changes, and content trends across various jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with legal teams to ensure policy frameworks are legally compliant and effectively address global legal requirements.
- Support the policy enforcement team by providing clarifications on policy interpretations and contributing to case reviews as needed.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and communications for internal and external stakeholders on policy updates and initiatives.
- Maintain organized records of policy documents, legal opinions, and decision-making processes.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between policy, legal, product, and engineering teams.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a policy, legal operations, or administrative role, preferably within the tech or social media industry.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise summaries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or similar productivity tools.
- Understanding of online content policies, trust and safety issues, or digital governance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree or relevant advanced degree.
- Experience working with global teams and understanding of international legal frameworks.
- Familiarity with intellectual property, privacy, or consumer protection laws in a digital context.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience with project management software.
