Job Description

As a Pinterest Technical Support – Level 1 IT Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues related to Pinterest products and services. This is a crucial role in maintaining high user satisfaction by providing prompt, accurate, and friendly support. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical problems, escalating more complex issues to senior support teams when necessary. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to Pinterest users via chat, email, and phone.
  • Diagnose and resolve common technical issues, including account access, feature usage, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Document all support interactions and resolutions accurately in the CRM system.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to Level 2 support or relevant internal teams, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with Pinterest product updates, new features, and changes to the technical knowledge base.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, empathy, and customer service at all times to ensure positive user interactions.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to effectively diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and internet navigation.
  • Ability to learn new software, tools, and technical concepts quickly.
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with user issues, coupled with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated quiet workspace suitable for remote work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or technical support role (1+ years preferred).
  • Familiarity with the Pinterest platform as a regular user.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk, ServiceNow).
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
