Job Description
Are you passionate about video games and have a keen eye for detail? Electronic Arts (EA) is seeking enthusiastic Playtesters to join our team in Bloomington, Indiana. As a Playtester, you will be on the front lines, helping us identify bugs, evaluate gameplay mechanics, and provide critical feedback to ensure our games are polished, fun, and engaging before release. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the quality of upcoming titles. We are offering a $500 sign-on bonus for new hires joining our dedicated team!
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and scenarios created by the QA team.
- Thoroughly test game features, systems, and content to identify bugs, glitches, and design flaws.
- Document and report all bugs and issues clearly and concisely using our bug tracking software.
- Provide detailed and constructive feedback on gameplay, user experience, and overall enjoyment.
- Collaborate with game developers, designers, and other QA team members to reproduce and clarify issues.
- Maintain a high level of focus and attention to detail during extended play sessions.
- Adhere to testing protocols and project deadlines.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and observational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and execute test cases accurately.
- A passion for video games across various genres and platforms.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with different gaming consoles/platforms.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a game tester or in a QA role (personal or professional).
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Understanding of game development pipelines and terminology.
- Ability to articulate feedback in a structured and actionable manner.
- Experience with a wide variety of gaming genres.
