Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Private Motorist with a focus on non-medical senior care to join our team in New Port Richey. In this vital role, you will provide safe and dependable transportation for our senior clients to appointments, errands, social engagements, and more. Beyond driving, you will offer essential non-medical support, companionship, and light assistance around the home, helping seniors maintain their independence and quality of life. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy helping others and have a clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport senior clients to appointments, errands, social events, and other destinations.
  • Assist clients with grocery shopping and other personal errands.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
  • Offer light assistance with daily living activities, such as meal preparation or tidying up.
  • Ensure the client's comfort and safety during transportation and while at their destination.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the Home Instead team.
  • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle for client transportation.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.

Required Skills

  • Valid US Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Basic understanding of non-medical senior care needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a caregiving or customer service role.
  • Familiarity with the New Port Richey, Florida area.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
