Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Intern to join our manufacturing and lab operations team in Gunbarrel, CO. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a regulated medical device environment, contributing to the quality oversight of critical manufacturing processes and laboratory testing. The intern will support QA activities, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external regulations, and will play a role in maintaining the integrity and safety of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the review and approval of manufacturing batch records and laboratory test results.
- Support investigations into non-conformance issues, identifying root causes and assisting with corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Participate in process audits to ensure adherence to quality management system requirements.
- Help maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs, on quality initiatives.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and support continuous improvement efforts in manufacturing and lab processes.
- Contribute to the preparation of quality reports and presentations.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial), Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous coursework or projects related to Quality Assurance, statistical analysis, or process improvement.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or other regulated industry standards.
- Prior laboratory or manufacturing experience (academic or professional).
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) or quality management systems.
