Job Description
Join Cancer Research UK as a Second Hand Goods Sorter in our Wolverhampton charity shop! This is an easy, entry-level role perfect for someone looking to contribute to a great cause without needing prior experience. You will be responsible for sifting through donated items, ensuring they are suitable for sale, and helping to prepare them for display. Your contribution directly supports our mission to beat cancer. Key Responsibilities
- Sort through incoming donations, categorising items such as clothing, books, and household goods.
- Assess the quality and condition of donated items, identifying those suitable for sale.
- Clean and prepare items as needed, ensuring they are presented in the best possible condition.
- Price items accurately and consistently according to company guidelines.
- Assist with moving sorted goods to the sales floor or storage areas.
- Maintain a tidy and organised sorting area.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations within the sorting area and shop.
- Collaborate with volunteers and staff to ensure smooth shop operations.
