Job Description

We will cover the full cost of your Passenger Carrying Vehicle (PCV) license training, providing you with all the necessary skills and certifications to become a professional bus driver. Key Responsibilities
- Successfully complete all required training for your PCV license and bus operator certification.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Operate transit buses safely and efficiently on designated routes, maintaining schedules.
- Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service to all passengers.
- Assist passengers, including those with disabilities, ensuring a comfortable and safe ride.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues.
- Collect fares and issue transfers accurately.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior.
- Handle unexpected situations with professionalism and calm under pressure.
Required Skills
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record for at least three years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with the Augusta, ME area.
